Kegel8 Pelvic Exercise Cones
Kegel8 Exercise Cones are designed to improve the tone of your pelvic floor muscles. The pelvic floor muscles are important in maintaining urinary continence. The pelvic floor muscles provide support to the bladder, rectum and uterus. They are weakened by childbirth and are further weakened by oestrogen deficiency after the menopause.
Strengthening the muscles can help reduce urinary leakage. The most common technique is pelvic floor exercises, sometimes known as Kegel exercises after their inventor Dr Arnold Kegel.
Simply crossing the legs when you feel a cough or sneeze starting can help prevent leakage. Eat plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables and fibre to avoid constipation, which can cause pressure on the bladder and urethra. Also try to lose weight, because being overweight puts stress on the pelvic floor muscles.
If you are having particular difficulties your doctor can give advice or may refer you to a specialist continence adviser.
Pelvic Exercising with Kegel8 Exercise Cones can also be used as an enhancement to your sexual pleasure or as a preparation for pregnancy.
Not suitable if you have a prolapse or are pregnant.
